Some of you started by recording an outing, before even creating a kennel. That is a good instinct: the app allows it on purpose, so that a first try does not begin with a form.
Those outings were never lost. They were waiting, one click from being attached, on a screen that existed and worked perfectly — and that nothing led to. No link, no menu entry. You had to know the address.
What changes
When an outing captured outside a kennel is waiting to be attached, a line appears in "To handle now" on your home screen: "1 outing to attach to your kennel". It leads to the attach screen. Once the outing is attached, the line goes away.
It sits after your chores for the day and before the administrative reminders: it is data of yours that already exists and that you might lose sight of, not a form to fill in.
What it does not do
You will never see someone else's outing. An unattached outing is visible only to the account that recorded it — the database itself enforces that, not a display filter. If you have never captured anything outside a kennel, this line will never exist for you.
It is not a menu entry. We deliberately chose not to add one: the menu has already been trimmed from sixteen entries to thirteen because it had grown too long, and a page you visit once in your life does not deserve a permanent seat there. The trade-off is deliberate: with no outing waiting, there is no visible path to that screen.
Attaching itself has not changed. Same screen, same checks, same rules as before. All we opened is a path.
And while we were there
Platform administrators — us, not you — could not reach their console from a phone: the link existed, but it was hidden on narrow screens. It now lives in the account menu, at every width. Nothing changes for a musher: that link only appears for accounts entitled to it, and that has not moved.
