You come back from a run, fill in the dogs' check, and save. Until now, that was it: the app kept everything and gave you nothing back. Distance trophies did exist, but at the very bottom of the Kennel home screen, where nobody goes looking.
This last wave of the ergonomics audit changes that.
What changes for you
After the run, what it brought. Below the summary there is a short block: your season kilometres including this run, the milestone reached if there is one ("500 km milestone reached with this run!"), and where you stand this week ("3 sessions out of 4"). The block fills in afterwards, so saving is never slower.
Statistics compare. For a week or a month, each figure says whether it went up or down against the previous period ("↑ 12"). You can also see which dog filter is active, including "All dogs".
The Dogs list stops repeating zeros. Dogs with 0 km that have never been assessed are grouped on one collapsible line at the end, for example "2 dogs not assessed yet". The list shows the dogs with a history first, and the title is no longer repeated three times.
The trail screen puts the right action first. On a rest day, the big orange button is "Free run", no longer "Race". Several messages now read in full:
- The battery warning is no longer cut off.
- The sync pill says a word when it is not green.
- The departure assistant says at every step whether it is preparing training or a race.
A red weather light can also be reopened right up to the start, if you decide to go anyway.
The Breeder home says what is left to do: puppy weigh-ins due, care to watch, unanswered requests.
The start screen is less cluttered. If you already have a role, the "Add breeding" and "Become an expert" offers become simple lines.
What these changes never show anyone
The "what this run brought" block and the comparisons are calculated on your phone, from your own runs. No ranking is published, and nothing is shared beyond what your kennel could already see.
What this wave does not do
There are no per-dog trophies yet: milestones are still the team's. The Breeder home adds no new kind of reminder; it gathers what the app already knew. And the comparison does not apply to the whole season, because there is no comparable "previous season".
Choices made against the obvious
A milestone is counted on the same basis as the figure shown just above it. Mixing the season total with the all-time total would have told two different stories on the same card.
Grouping dogs with no data instead of hiding them. A dog that has not run yet is still part of your pack. We put it in its place; we do not make it disappear.
