Until now, the phone could edit an objective but not delete it: an abandoned race or a duplicate objective stayed on screen until someone opened the website. Not any more.
What changes for you
- Plan › Actions › "Delete the objective…". It is the last item in the menu, in red. Only the kennel owner sees it, and only when an objective is on screen.
- The confirmation says what goes and what stays, before anything moves.
- Afterwards, the screen shows the next objective if there is one; otherwise the season, still there, with "Add an objective".
What goes, what stays
- Goes with the objective: its training plan, its milestones, the entered dogs, its race file (links, notes, participations) and, if an expert reviewed that plan, the review.
- Stays: the season and its dates; the sessions already run, each dog's logbook and weigh-ins; the races run and their results — they are simply no longer attached to that objective.
What others see
The objective belongs to the kennel: after the sync, it disappears for every member, on the website and on the phones. Nothing announces the deletion to the team — no notification, no trace in a list.
What it doesn't do
- No bin. A deleted objective can't be recovered. Recreating it gives a new plan, not the old one.
- It doesn't delete the season. The season stays, ready for another objective; deleting a season is still done on the website.
- Offline, nothing is sent — and the screen says so straight away.
- While an entry linked to the objective is still waiting to be sent, the phone refuses: deleting now would lose that entry. Let the sync finish, then try again.
Choices made against the obvious
- The phone says more than the website. The website asks "Delete this objective and its plan?". The phone names everything that goes, and says the season stays: on a small screen, without the plan in front of you, you need to know what you lose before you tap.
- Red, this time. Removing a dog from the team has no red: nothing is lost there. Deleting an objective erases a plan you won't get back; the action is in red, and last in the menu.
- No queue. Usually the phone keeps your offline entries and sends them later. Not a deletion: sent hours later, it could erase an objective someone had just edited on the website. It goes straight away, or not at all.
