There were two doors to log an outing after the fact: "Log a session" and "Other activity". Nothing said which one to take. Yet the difference mattered: a session enters the dogs' training load, another activity — a walk, a swim, strength work — does not. And another activity, once logged, could be found nowhere: no page, no place in Traces, nothing on the phone, while the statistics counted it. Logged by mistake, it stayed.

What changes

One entry, "Log an outing". In the dashboard's "+ Log" menu, in the Dogs band and in the phone's "Log" sheet. It asks for the activity first, in two groups:

On the website, the entries of the "+ Log" menu carry an icon next to their word, like the Dogs band.

The no-load activity has its page. On the website, Traces gains a "Without traction" folder, next to "Races": each activity has its page there — kind, date, duration, distance, effort, dogs, notes. The day of the statistics calendar leads to it ("View activity"). On the phone, it joins the history, with the outings; a tap opens its card, and the calendar day that said "1 outing" over an empty list finally shows it.

It can be deleted. From its page on the website, from its card or with a swipe on the phone — by the owner or a handler, with a confirmation. An outing logged by hand can also be deleted from its page on the website ("Delete the outing"), not only from the list.

"Bike ride" saves. The website offered it, but saving failed. The phone offers it too now.

What others see, and what they don't

Kennel members see the "Without traction" folder and each activity's page, as they see the other outings. Only the owner and the handler — the ones who log it — delete it; a vet, a guide or a viewer doesn't see the button.

A deletion is final, for the whole kennel: the page, the calendar line and the statistics count disappear, on the website and on the phones at their next sync. Nothing records who deleted it.

What "Log an outing" doesn't do

It doesn't turn an activity into a session, or the reverse. A walk logged as a canicross session is deleted and logged again: the two don't live in the same place, because one counts toward load and the other doesn't — that is on purpose, and it isn't "not yet".

It doesn't correct the dogs of a no-load activity. Its page now shows who was there, which is what was missing to do it; the correction remains to be wired, and it is in the register.

A no-load activity still doesn't enter the dogs' load, and doesn't join "All" in Traces: "All" lists the outings with traction.

The choices that aren't obvious

Merge rather than explain. We could have renamed the two entries — "session with traction", "activity without traction". But the question "which of the two?" would have stayed, before even starting. Asking for the activity first removes it: the phone already did so for a session, it only needed the activities without traction.

A folder of its own, not "All". A no-load activity has no track, no speed, no load: mixing it with the outings would blur what "All" counts. Races already have their own folder for the same reason.

Delete, not hide. An activity logged by mistake inflated the statistics with nothing to be done about it. Hiding it would have left it counting somewhere; it is deleted, like an outing.
