You had already done the work. "12 dogs A", "12 dogs B", "Finnmarkslopet": your teams were composed on the web, dog by dog, once and for all.

Then you started a run on the phone, and the app asked you to do it all over again — twelve checkboxes in a list of thirty-nine dogs, wearing gloves, outdoors, before every departure.

That's fixed.

One tap

At the pre-start Équipe step — training and race alike — there is now a row of chips above "All dogs": one per kennel team. Tap "Finnmarkslopet" and that team's dogs are checked. That's it.

Your teams had already been syncing to the phone for months. They were only used to filter the Meute list. The one place they would have mattered most — the moment you compose your run — wasn't looking at them.

It replaces, it doesn't add up

Tap "12 dogs A", then "12 dogs B": you get team B. Not all twenty-three dogs.

That's deliberate. When you tap a team's name you're saying "this run is this team" — not "add them to what I had". And a silent merge would be the worst of both: nothing on screen would tell you that you had just combined two teams.

You keep control, of course: after the tap, check and uncheck whatever you want. The row is a starting point, not a lock. That's also why no chip stays "lit": the truth of your selection is the list of checkboxes below it, never a chip pretending to summarise what you've changed since.

A resting dog doesn't sneak in

If two dogs on your team of twelve are benched, or held back by a logbook alert, the tap checks ten. The other two stay visible in the list, unchecked, with their reason shown.

This is the same rule as for prepared rigs, and it isn't going to change: a team is a composition written in advance, not a decision you're making for today. If you do want to run a flagged dog, you still can — but it stays an explicit act on your part, never a pre-ticked box you might not have noticed.

A team with no runnable dog today has its chip greyed out. A tap that would only empty your selection would look like a broken screen.

The three things it doesn't do

It is not a rig. The chips pick who runs, never who goes in lead or wheel. Positions remain the Attelage step's business — or a "prepared rig", which you compose on the web inside each team. The two shortcuts coexist: one says who, the other says where.

The phone doesn't create teams. Composing a team stays a web gesture (Meute → Teams). Mobile reads, it doesn't write. This isn't a "not yet": composing a team is desk work, not field work, and we'd rather the phone stayed the tool of the departure.

A kennel with no teams sees no row. No empty banner, no message: if there's nothing to offer, there's nothing to show.

If you don't see your teams

They arrive through sync, like everything else. If the row doesn't appear, check that your teams exist on the phone's active kennel — by far the most common cause, and the Diagnostics screen now tells you: it counts your teams and rigs, which it didn't before.
