Until now, changing an objective's settings did not change the plan: you had to remember to click "Regenerate", further down the page, and nothing reminded you. The banners that offered to regenerate only scrolled the page down to that button. Not any more.
What changes for you
- "Save" updates the plan. An objective's and its season's settings, a milestone added, edited or deleted: the plan is recomputed right away. On the phone too, for an edited objective, its race or its season.
- A new objective gets its plan straight away. No more "Generate" button to find after creating it.
- Banners act. "Regenerate the plan" in a banner — plan out of date, gap from the plan, young-dog settings, closed day, milestones — regenerates in place.
- A proposal is taken in one click. Every upcoming week is taken by default; "Take the proposal" applies it. You can still untick a week to keep it.
- Three versions, no more. The "Versions" panel keeps the objective's last three plans, with "Put back in service". Older ones are deleted.
What others see
The plan belongs to the kennel: once updated, every member sees the new one, on the website and on phones after syncing. Nobody is notified, and nothing says who updated it.
What it does not do
- Nothing overwrites your edits without you. On a hand-edited plan, "Save" asks first: "Save and regenerate", or "Save without regenerating", which keeps your edits.
- Past weeks do not move. As before, only the future is recomputed.
- Changing the season only updates the plan of the objective you have open. Other objectives in the same season keep theirs until their next update.
- Deleted versions do not come back — including those that existed before this change, beyond the last three.
- The phone still has no "Versions" panel and no milestone form, and nothing saves offline.
Choices made against the grain
- Everything taken by default. The proposal was designed as "never all-or-nothing": you had to tick every week, one by one. The usual case is to take it all; that is now one click, and the week-by-week choice is still there.
- Three — not one, not twenty. Every save now creates a version: one would not let you go back two steps, twenty would stop being a safety net and become a history nobody reads.
- Generating at creation, even if you plan to add milestones. Each saved milestone will update the plan again; waiting gains nothing.
