Until now, a club's public page, mushmate.eu/club/your-club, only showed a leaderboard by kilometres. It had names and numbers, and none of what makes a club: outings, dogs, meet-ups. Nor could it be found: no search engine indexed it. Both change.

What the page shows now

After the leaderboard:

The page ends with an invitation to create a kennel, and a line for kennels that already run with the club: ask it for its invitation link.

What it never shows

Findable on Google, if the founder decides

In the Club space, Leaderboard tab, a new card, "The club's public page", tells every member what the page shows and whether search engines find it. By default they don't: the page is shared by link, as before. The owner of the founding kennel can make it "Visible in search engines". Member kennels' names and kilometres then become findable. The pages of outings, moments and invitation links never are.

Before you join a club, the screen says so: what becomes visible, to whom, and that the founder can open the page to search engines.

What it doesn't do

Three choices made against the obvious

No anonymous outing on the showcase. More outings would have filled the page. But an anonymous outing listed under four names is no longer anonymous, and "Public profile" is the setting that decides.

The date, not the title. "Outing at Paul's, Saturday" gives away a first name and a place. A title written for friends doesn't become public because the page is.

The founder decides, and everyone sees it. Asking every member's consent would have stalled any club at the first silence. The switch belongs to the founder, but no member finds out by surprise: the page's state is written for everyone, and leaving the club remains possible at any time.
