When you open the Plan on your phone, you are looking for one thing: what are we doing today, and in the next few days?

Until now, you had to scroll through three screens to find out. First came the goal card, then the race sheet with its registration dates, then some technical cards, and only then the sessions. The screen also spoke the language of the engine that builds the plan: "local cache data", four "YOUNG" pills that never said which dogs, "Cap 85 %" with no name, "plan built under another regime".

What changes for you

The week first. At the top: today, then the coming days, with distance and pace ceiling. Just below, one sentence: "2 of 4 sessions done this week". The week is named by its dates ("Sat 19 to Fri 25 Sep") instead of ambiguous letters.

Every dog is named. When a young dog is holding the pace down, the screen names the dog, says why and says what to do, which is often nothing: "AIKHAL is holding the team back this week: young dog — the limit rises with age, nothing to change".

A musher's words.

No more contradictions.

The rest folds away under "Plan details": the race sheet, the milestone frieze and the young-dog caps.

What these changes never show anyone

Nothing new is shared. Members of your kennel see the plan as they did before; only how it looks on your phone changes.

What this wave does not do

The engine that calculates the plan has not changed. The plan's week still starts on the day your season started; it is simply named by its dates now. When several goals are active at once, the screen still shows only one of them; that is a separate piece of work. An up-to-date plan is still regenerated from the "Actions" menu: the top button only appears when it is needed.

Choices made against the obvious

Safety does not fold away. Everything that counts as detail goes under the fold, except three alerts that stay visible above the week: a plan that cannot be prescribed, a young dog above its cap, and a dog injured since the plan was generated. Folding a safety alert away just to tidy the screen would be a regression.

"Moderate" rather than "Sustained". The plan's endurance zone is a comfortable cruising pace. Calling it "sustained" would have contradicted the sentence just below.
