What MushMate offers you

MushMate is the training and care logbook for sled dogs. A partner — a gear or food brand, a race organiser, a club, a coach — can offer MushMate to their mushers: they give them a word, like NONSTOP, and every musher who activates it gets months of full access, with no credit card.

You have nothing to install and no account to create. Three things come to you:

  • A code: a word that can be said out loud on a trail side, that you print, announce or slip into a newsletter.
  • A private page: the number of mushers who activated it, month by month, and the places left.
  • A signature: while your offer runs, "Offered by …" shows on the musher's side, with your logo and a link to your website.

Your first week

  1. Ask the MushMate team for your code. With them you choose the duration offered (3 or 6 months usually), the number of places and the activation deadline. Your logo, a sentence from you and your website's address serve the signature.
  2. Receive your link and your private page, with a ready-to-paste text in French and English.
  3. Make the code known: see Giving a code to your mushers.
  4. Come back to read your page a few days later: see Reading your private page.

What you will never see

A name. Your page only carries numbers: no musher, no kennel, no e-mail address, no region, no precise date. The database doesn't return them to your link. It is on purpose, and it isn't "not yet".

What it does not do

  • The code doesn't concern the iPhone app: Apple forbids an app from unlocking access with its own code. On iPhone, the musher activates your code at your address, in the phone's browser.
  • It doesn't renew and asks for no credit card: when the offered months end, the kennel subscribes or becomes read-only.
  • It gives you no influence in the app: no ration, no recommended gear, no message to the mushers. Your presence is "Offered by".
