What you will do
Make your code — a word like NONSTOP — known to the mushers you want to invite: a card in a parcel, a newsletter, an announcement at a race start. Every
musher who activates it gets months of MushMate with no credit card; you follow the number of activations on your private page.
What you need
- A code, created by the MushMate team. You don't create it yourself: the team opens it with you (its word, 3 or 6 months offered, the number of places, the deadline) and hands you the link of its address and a ready-to-paste text, in French and English. To ask for one, write to the contact address shown at the bottom of every page of the site.
- Nothing else on the partner side: no account, no app to install.
- On the musher's side: a kennel they own, which is not already subscribed. A kennel whose trial has ended (read-only) can activate a code: that is where it helps most.
Step by step
- Find your address. It looks like
mushmate.eu/code/NONSTOP: your code's word, after/code/. That is the address you share, and the one you print as a QR code (any QR code generator will do: just give it the address). - Say the word, too. It can be said out loud on a trail side:
nonstop,Non-Stopandnon stopare the same code — capitals, accents and spaces don't matter. - The musher opens the address. Without an account, they see your offer — "Non-stop dogwear gives you 6 months of MushMate" — and a "Create my account" button. They have
nothing to type.

- They create their account and kennel. The code is kept during sign-up and applied as soon as the kennel is created, with no extra click. If they already have an
account and a kennel, they see an "Activate for <their kennel>" button instead.

- They activate. The screen tells them what is offered and until when.

- On Android, they can also type the word in the app, under "I have a code": on the sign-in screen before even having an account, then in Settings, on the subscription screen or on the read-only banner.
What you should see
- On your private page, your code's counter goes up by one with each activation, and the number of places left goes down accordingly.
- On the musher's side, the offer starts right away: the pill at the top of the screen changes to "Member", then to "Comped · D-N" in the last 30 days.
What others see
- The musher sees your name and the duration offered before signing up, then "Offered by Non-stop dogwear · until …" while the offer runs. See what your mushers see.
- The whole team of their kennel benefits: the access belongs to the kennel, not to the person.
- You never see a name. Your page only carries numbers.
What it does not do
- There is no field for the code in the iPhone app. Apple forbids an app from unlocking access with its own code (App Store rule 3.1.1). On iPhone, the musher activates the code at the address you share, in the phone's browser, and the app then reflects the access. It isn't "not yet": it is Apple's rule.
- The code asks for no credit card and doesn't renew. When the offered months end, the kennel goes back to the usual rule: it subscribes, or becomes read-only.
- A musher who already subscribes is refused. The code is there to make MushMate known, not to hand months to someone who already pays.
- It doesn't stack: a kennel has one partner offer at a time, and an account activates a code only once.
- It isn't a store code (Google Play, App Store): it goes through neither.
If something goes wrong
A musher whose activation is refused sees a precise message:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| "This code does not exist. Check the spelling." | The word was copied wrong. |
| "This code is no longer active." | The MushMate team switched it off (end of campaign, partnership over). Months already offered stay. |
| "This code has expired." | The activation deadline has passed. |
| "All the places offered by this partner have been taken." | The cap of activations is reached. |
| "You have already used this code." | This account already activated it, on this kennel or another. |
| "This code is for new mushers: your subscription is already active." | The kennel subscribes. |
| "Your kennel already has permanent access…" | The kennel has lifetime access: it can keep the code for a friend. |
| "Only the kennel's owner can activate this code…" | Another member tried: the owner has to do it. |
| "Too many attempts — try again in an hour." | More than ten tries in an hour on this account. |
A missing place, a code to switch off, a word to change: write to the MushMate team.
