What MushMate offers you

MushMate follows a litter from mating to each puppy's departure: the due date that calculates itself, the whelping, the mother's temperature, each puppy's weight and care, the public page to share, buyer inquiries — and, when a puppy goes to a musher, its logbook that follows it. It is all in the Breeding section, under "Kennel"; there is nothing more to install.

Four things come to you:

  • A follow-up: mating, pregnancy, whelping, weaning, closing; the puppies, their weight, their care, with the signals that matter (weight loss, slow growth).
  • A public page per litter, which you publish, present and share yourself.
  • Inquiries from buyers received on the litter, to move along with one click through to the reservation.
  • A logbook that leaves with the puppy: a link you send, and the buyer receives it in their MushMate. You keep yours.

Your first week

  1. Check your kennel's profile: Breeding or Both (Settings). See Declaring a litter.
  2. Declare your first litter — the dam is enough; the mating date calculates the due date.
  3. Add the puppies at whelping, weigh them, log their care: see Adding the puppies, weighing them, caring for them.
  4. Publish the litter when you are ready: see Publishing a litter.
  5. When a puppy leaves, hand over its logbook: see Handing over the logbook. And if a buyer asks you what to expect, send them What the buyer sees.

What your buyers see — and what they never see

  • They see: the public page of a litter you published (the parents, your available puppies, your "Why this pairing" text), then, at handover, a copy of the puppy's logbook: identity, parents, vaccines, dewormings, visits, weighings, first photo.
  • They never see: your private notes, the price, the deposit, the other buyers' contact details or the inquiries.
  • You see, of the handover: the date and the name of the kennel that received the puppy — nothing else of its life there.

What it does not do

  • No public directory of litters: your page only exists for those you give the link to.
  • No online sale: a price or a deposit can be noted; nothing is collected in MushMate.
  • No studbook verification: the number is self-declared, and the page says so.
  • No legal advice: the handover pack gives indicative formalities for the buyer's country; check them against your studbook.
