What MushMate offers a club

A club brings together several independent kennels around a shared leaderboard and group outings. Each kennel keeps its dogs, plans and logbooks to itself: only its name and its cumulative kilometres are shared with the other members. It is all in Team › Club, on the website and on the phone, with four pills: Leaderboard, Outings, Trails, Members.

Four things come to you:

  • A leaderboard: the cumulative kilometres (outings and races) of each member kennel, by year or all time.
  • Group outings: a kennel proposes, everyone answers in one click, and the link is shared in the club's group.
  • A public page: the leaderboard, the showcase and the upcoming outings, to share by link — and findable in search engines if the founder chooses.
  • Shared trails, and a leaderboard per trail for the kennels that show their times to the club.

Your first week

  1. Found the club with your kennel, or join your team's: see Founding a club or joining your team's.
  2. Invite the other kennels with a link: see Inviting a kennel and managing the members.
  3. Propose a first outing: see Proposing a club outing.
  4. Give out your club's public page address: see The club leaderboard and its public page.
  5. Share your first trails: see The club's trails and your times.

What the other kennels see — and what they never see

  • They see: your kennel's name, your region and your cumulative kilometres; the outings you propose; the trails you share (name, distance, climb, line — never the pace).
  • They never see: your dogs, your plans, your logbooks, or the pace of your trails. Your times only leave if you turn on "Show my times to the club", club by club.
  • The website's visitors see the club's public page: the leaderboard, the published outings of kennels with a public profile, the shared moments, and the day and number of kennels of the upcoming outings — never their title or place.

What it does not do

  • Joining doesn't happen by itself: only the kennel's owner confirms the entry, after reading what it commits to.
  • No link makes anyone enter the club, except the founder's invitation link.
  • Search engines don't find the page by default: it is the founder's choice.
  • The public leaderboard /classement is another page, outside any club, set in Settings.
