What MushMate offers a musher

An account, a kennel (yours, or your team's), and two apps for the same kennel life: the website, where you prepare and review, and the phone, which records in the field. Five things come to you:

  • Your dogs: one record per dog, added by hand or imported, with its logbook and history.
  • A training plan: a season, goals, a week-by-week plan — that MushMate adjusts, and that you can take over "In my hands" when the week doesn't go as planned.
  • Your runs: recorded on the phone, imported from Strava, Garmin, adidas or a GPX file, then reread with their recap, their figures and their track.
  • Your trails and your times: a loop you redo becomes a trail, and your runs are compared on it.
  • Your team: roles (owner, handler, vet, viewer, guide), invitations, and an access that can stop by itself.

Your first week

  1. Create your account, your kennel and your first dog: see Creating your account, your kennel and your first dog.
  2. Add the rest of the pack: see Adding your dogs.
  3. Create a season and a goal, then read your plan: see Creating a season and a goal, then Adapting your plan.
  4. Record your first run on the phone: see Recording a run.
  5. Import the ones you already have, if they are elsewhere: see Importing your runs.
  6. Reread a run: see Rereading a run, then Your trails and your times.
  7. Invite your team: see Inviting your team.
  8. Know where you stand: see Your subscription, your backup and deleting your account.

What others see — and never see

  • The members of your kennel see your dogs, your plan, your runs and their corrections, according to the role you gave them.
  • Nobody outside the kennel sees anything until you publish: a run through its public link (without its first and last 500 metres), a trail by sharing it with a club or making it public.
  • A session imported from Strava is visible to you alone: that is Strava's rule.
  • A partner who offers you MushMate only sees the number of activations of their code — never your name, nor your kennel's.

What it does not do

  • The plan is not veterinary advice: an expert can validate it, MushMate does not do it in their place.
  • MushMate does not guess what you didn't say: a dog with no answer at the end of a run is recorded without a feeling, never "all fine".
  • Nothing regenerates by itself: the banners suggest, you click.
  • Correcting a run does not erase the GPS: the original measurement stays displayed next to yours.
  • A kennel is private by default: nothing is public until you turn a setting on.
